Code Welder
Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Shop Floor Foreman.
Sets up designated welding equipment to perform skilled welding on designated types of materials, makes adjustments to related positions and fixtures; sets speed, amperage and voltage, or regulating flow of gas(s).
Operates a variety of manual and automatic welding equipment. Performs electric, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW, or other type welding to work raw materials, semi-finished parts, sub-assemblers and completed sub-assemblers to form products.
Monitors work, making dimensional and visual checks taking appropriate action to correct work deficiencies.
Performs a variety of associated tasks including burning, operating material handling equipment, grinders, buffers and a variety of hand tools.
Performs a variety of functions necessary for the successful operation of the facility, as assigned by the management of the company.
Actively supports, participates in, and maintains the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility’s safety program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.
Fit large Dia pressure Vessels (ASME code)
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in any field.
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Male/Age : 26 – 48 yrs old.
Three to five years progressive experience in welding processes (within the oil and gas industry preferred).
Ability to read and follow complex drawings/blueprints is preferred.
Assembly of large Dia vessels
Welding certification / pressure welder
Complexity of Tasks:
Must possess the ability to follow instructions/directions (verbal), work from drawings/blueprints independently and with minimal supervision.
Requires a high degree of initiative with the ability to promptly and regularly report to work.
Ability to work fluctuating work schedules and extensive mandatory work hours required by job/shop work loads.
Ability to meet and comply with the facility’s safety, production and quality standard.
Applicants should be Indonesian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
